No longer would the newly aeromatic Terra have to hide in her room and be unsure about whether the next flick of her powers would trigger a tornado. Mostly because she wasn't a butterfly and that wasn't too huge of a concern to begin with, but now she had Gust to help her along in her learning ( Read more... )

*It was difficult to miss Gust when she arrived, given that she flew to the island and landed on the beach next to Terra, the sand billowing up in little dervishes as she set down.*

Certainly more impressive than some of the entrances Terra's made.

"Hey, Gust. Thanks for offering to do this." She smiled. "So, uh, how should we start?"

No problem. Start with... breathing, I think. *Gust smiled and stood straight, placing her hands together in front of herself - palm to palm, with the fingers pointed upwards. She took in a deep breath* Like this. Feel the air flowing into you, out of you, around you. Feel the movement.

Breathing made sense. She mimicked the way Gust's hands were positioned and had to bite back a comment on how she didn't think it would work -- earth, of course, was a lot more grounded, and she needed to be willing to think more openly than normal if she wanted to figure this out. She started breathing slowly and deeply, but didn't particularly feel anything.
