Silvermane had been out for a breath of fresh air, and had mailed the gifts she bought for her adoptive family while she was out. It was a pleasant day, really. Until the sirens of several ambulances, fire trucks and police cars interrupted the calm, all heading in one direction like bats out of hell.

She ran in the same direction, coming across the worst car wreck she had ever seen. At least twenty, maybe thirty cars were piled up, and several of the vehicles were smoking. Emergency workers were trying to get to people in need, but it was difficult, with the masses of cars all crunched into one another.

Taking a deep breath, she began going through her tai chi motions, moving one car here, another there, and essentially sorting them into tidy little rows. The ones that were really thoroughly smashed were a little more difficult to handle, as there was the possibility of people being alive in there. Alive and very hurt.

She approached the smoking vehicles a little more carefully, activating her steel skin in case something caught fire, or exploded. She had to reverse the denting and crunching and be extremely careful about it, because the people who were in the badly damaged vehicles WERE alive, but painfully pinned.

After one very strenuous half hour, everyone was more or less safe.

"Young lady? Could you come here for a moment?" said one man on a stretcher. Silvermane approached and looked at him to see what he needed. "I'd just like your address, miss. I'm a record exec and I get a lot of promotional tickets...just name your favorite band and I'll send you a few of those tickets as my thanks."

"Oh, um...t-that's really not necessary," said Silvermane, blushing. "I l-like Nina and the Chimeras, b-but you really don't need to send me anything."

"Nonesense. I have a heart condition and it would have taken them hours to get me out of there without your help. Now hand over your address, and then take a well deserved break."

Silvermane did as she was told, but the break didn't come. The news reporters who had been filming the entire incident had come to speak with her the second they saw that she was done with the actual heroics.

"Miss! An interview!"

"Eeeeep....."

((OOC: Anyone who wants to show up to check on the injured citizens and/or save Silvermane from the media is welcome.))
