Christmastime. Duela knew it as a time of warmth and good cheer. Surprising for a young girl whose life had been spent wrapped up in delusions of being a criminal

Starfire wasn't exactly "shopping" when Duela was, but she was on her way back from getting some last-minute gifts. Then she overheard a noise, glass shattering, and was curious as to where it was coming from. After all, 'tis the season to do some stealing, at least for criminals. She hurried off to the source of the noise

Seeing no one quite yet, Duela breathed a sigh of relief. Smiling to herself, she began to crawl through the opening... only to find that she, well.

Didn't fit.

The girl frowned and let out a bit of whine, struggling. Of course, this resulted in her trying to crawl over the glass, which couldn't support her weight, and well...

CRASH!

Duela let out a whimper, as she found her costume and gloves ripped up by the shards of glass. Luckily, she hadn't managed to cut her face...

And much to Duela's misfortune, Starfire arrived on the scene when she heard more crashing on her way over. She didn't recognize Duela at all, but seeing the position that she had placed herself in, well. Starfire stands right behind her, ready for just about anything.

"I am afraid that you will not be sneaking into any place tonight."

Duela let out a yelp, anmd stood up, backing away from Starfire. "Uhm... uh...! Hey, wait, you're..."

Her voice trailed off. Duela wasn't the sharpest girl in the world, but she didn't want to get Terra in any kind of trouble, or Blackfire, or her poss. Saying she'd seen Starfire before would most definately not be a good idea.

"Um! Uh!" She tried to bound over Starfire, and then run for it.
