*Changeling PINpoints into Jump, ending up in a deserted alleyway. Which is pretty lucky, really, considering he hadn't intended to come here at all and didn't want to draw too much attention whilst he was here. His arms and chest were transformed into rough green rock and pitted with multiple fist sized craters, dents that would translate into ( Read more... )

Ahhh, luck. Faust has a way with luck, and always has; and now that she's recovered from the events of the past year and had time to refamiliarize herself with the rhythm of Jump City, luck just keeps going her way. Like today, for example.

She spies the telltale glint of a PINpoint vector and a flash of green in the middle of jumping across the rooftops, then skids to a halt on the gravel roof. A quick peek over the edge of the roof confirms her theory, and she can't keep a vicious smile off her face. She might be a nicer person to her friends these days, but Changeling's far from a friend. She's not above kicking the poor bastard when he's down.

Which is why she leaps down into the alleyway right in front of Changeling, landing in a crouch, her smile so wide it practically splits her face. She stands up straight and looks him dead in the eyes. "Hello, Changeling. You hurt See-More and Terra. Now you pay."

And with that, she launches her fist straight at his face.

*Oh shit, Changeling thinks. He's not only tired out from the earlier fight with Thirst, but the rocky skin actually slows him down despite it's usefulness in keeping him from bleeding into unconsciousness. So he completely fails to dodge, getting smacked neatly in the face and staggering back against the wall. He spits up a little blood and grimaces.*

Christ, what is this, homicidal blondes beat on Changeling day? Besides, why do you care what I did to them? *He raises his arms to defend, but it's a little loose and sloppy. Faust has a definite advantage here.*

Faust punches him in the stomach instead of his head again, pummeling him one-two-three times in rapid succession, then pulls back, cracking her knuckles and grinning at the blood Changeling coughs up.

"Simple karma, Changeling," she says, then goes to lift Changeling up by the throat for a second - or at least to shove him against the wall while she strangles him. "Payback's a bitch." She smiles at him, thin and nasty. "Put it another way: you just hit a string of really bad luck."

She doesn't care if he manages to knock her away now that she's standing still, she can take it.

*Changeling is reacting too slowly to block any of that, and the rock is only on his upper chest, so he makes nice pained grunts as the punches land, reminding him of his cracked ribs as he chokes up more blood. He does manage to smack her arm when she reaches to grab his throat, and hopefully the added weight of his arm being made of rock means it's actually effective as a defense. He doesn't like being strangled.*

Luck... Jinx? Hmmph, interesting look *he'd say something about having already apologised to See-More - with a monkey! - but talking is getting a bit painful. Instead he aims a sharp kick at her stomach.*
