Returning to the Tower (Tag: Anyone)

After aiding in rebuilding Azarath's city and helping those who returned learn pacifistic teachings, Raven shortly began to feel out of place. Perhaps it was because she wasn't truly a pacifist: her powers were made from darkness, and were made to destroy. Perhaps it was also because the blood of her father, of Trigon, still ran within her veins. ( Read more... )

Starfire was sitting on the couch in the Tower watching one of her favorite programs involving fungus and petting her fire dragon -- who had grown quite a bit since he had hatched two months ago -- when she heard the door openly. When she got up to see who she was, she was immediately ecstatic upon discovering who it was.

And Raven better be prepared for a huge hug to welcome her home, because that was just what Starfire was going to deliver! "Raven!" she exclaimed, beaming as she pounced.

Raven was expecting it, and yet she couldn't bring herself to avoid it. Starfire leapt at her as usual, and the half demon barely had enough time to widen her eyes before being picked up in one of Starfire's bone crushing hugs.

"Hello.... Starfire.." Raven spoke slowly, trying hard to avoid actually showing that it was difficult to breathe with Starfire squeezing her like that. She was glad to see her best friend again, and it would definately be worth losing some precious moments of oxygen.

Cyborg had been working at some Tower maintenance, when he noticed his fusion cutter was missing. He had sworn that he had put it right beside the quarted reverse kratchet, but apparently not. Slightly annoyed he got up from his work, and headed towards the Tower couch. Many strange things had been discovered in the couch, perhaps it was there? As he entered into the main room he noticed something familiar... two somethings. It was Starfire, and she was with... "RAVEN!" he shouted loudly, bolting over and wrapping his arms around both of them.

"Welcome back!" he exclaimed happily. It was somewhat of a shock, but a pleasant one to see her.

Raven smiled in her subtle type way, although it was definately not even close to reflecting how she really felt. She was glad to see everyone.. well, most of everyone, anyway.

Once she recovered from Starfire's death grip, she adjusted her cloak out of habit and nodded her head in greeting to Cyborg. "Thank you, Cyborg. I hope you both have been well, in my absence."
