HELP! I didn't realize that the monologue i need for April 1st needs to be, and i quote "non contemporary"!!! Any suggestions? please? even of a decent play that is 'non contemporary'!

well i have a comedic temporary that i'm doing, so i assume that dramatic would be better!!!

I have some books with classical monologues in them, I'll lend them to you if you'd like. The one I used for my auditions is from Shakespeare's Richard III. If you go for something that's not Shakespeare though they'll appreciate it, I think they like to hear variety.

look in the merchant of Vinice by william shakespear. Oh oh go to Barns and Noble. There are Shakespears plays published by a company I believe called "No Fear" they have a blue top and they are set up at the top shelf and the end of the theater row. look for any tragedy with a gieil. Those books have the shakespearon one side with comtempoary english on the other so its eaiser to get through quickly.
