According to new data from the UN 24,000 people die of hunger a day with another 100,000 that perish due to related causes of malnutrition. 200,000 children die a year of hunger. The total number of people living in hunger in the world is around 840 million. The approximate annual death toll is 35 million. However, this situation could be prevented

I saw this on "60 Minutes." Anderson Cooper did a story on it. (He's my new favorite reporter -- I saw him speak here in Jax).
