Well job hunting now isn't so much "what do I want to do with my life," it's more "Okay... which administrative assistant or human resources assistant position should I apply for." Which in a way might make it easier to choose because of the lack of variety, and it's not like you're never get promoted. Sadly, publishing is one of the industries that is really taking a punch right now, so it's probably not going to happen for me, at least this job hunt round.
You're best bet, start looking at jobs, maybe start applying, start talking to people who aren't going to grad school or who are and need roomies you could live with. With combined salaries full-time salaries, even if it's only 30 grand per person, you can get a pretty grood place with one or two roomies.

the average college grad will change their job 10 times before settling on something to do for the rest of their life.
things will all fall into place. i wouldn't worry about it too much
