[Mamoru, on a rare break from working and training, moves to sit a conversational distance away.]

I think it would be best to wait until your ankle is healed. Don't you agree?

[She smiles at being joined, but pouts just a bit at the mention of a delay... then sighs. It's her own fault for being careless.]

Really? But I don't think I'd have to move around too much once the battles started... [She's feeling a bit restless, she supposes. It's hard to chase you around to flirt when her ankle is sprained. :|]

Going to make me carry you there, too?

[...Mamoru is teasing you. What is this.]

[... Okay. Mood is picking up again. She's going to quickly shift from a surprised look to a barely restrained grin.] Maybe~... Am I correct in assuming that you wouldn't be opposed, then?

Oh, I thought that background looked kind of familiar. Well... Falkner uses Flying-types, so if you have an Electric-type or an Ice-type it should be easy.

Oh, wow, that's great! My starter is a Sneasel. She's half ice. You hear that, Saki? This should be no problem!

[Sneasel preens a bit and Lucario just looks on quietly, but both can be seen as the gear shifts.]

[Just the person he wanted to see.

Youji walks up behind Aya-chan, making sure the grass crunches beneath his feet and several of his Pokemon skip ahead of him. He has cold drinks and snacks for all of the Pokemon and, of course, their lovely young mistress.]

Probably going to have to ask someone more knowledgeable than I, dear.

[He smiles lightly, and will be holding out a drink when she turns around.]

You know, just when I thought the day couldn't get any lovelier, I come across this little tableau.

[Ah, the charmer is here~ She leans her head back to see him coming and offers him a grin for the effort. She relieves him of the offered drink as well, grinning.]

Good afternoon to you too, Youji-kun. [It's not meant to be dismissive, she's just gotten past getting flustered at such greetings. His company is welcomed, and she makes sure there's room to sit next to her as her Pokemon rearrange just a little. He's got treats. They can SMELL it.] It was just too gorgeous of a day to spend it in my room at the window.

You're enjoying the afternoon so far, then?

Don't think I knew what enjoyment was until right this very second.

[Her not being flustered is no reason not to keep up the flattery, is it? It's just fun at this point.

He pulls berries out of his bag, two for each Pokemon. Divide among yourselves: who wants which ones?]

But yes, it's quite a lovely day. Lovely enough that I was hopeful it would... predispose you to loaning me a hand.

[If he enjoys her company that much then she's genuinely happy to have such a positive impact. It's not every day that people can appreciate just being in one each others presence this much. She grins a little at the opening statement, watching as her Pokemon, even Saki is getting a curious closer look, annnnd taking it upon herself to point out which ones are what type-- sour, bitter, sweet, spicy-- everyone eventually gets a share and thank Youji in their own names. Seriously, why do Pokemon only say their names?]

Oh? How can I be of assistance today, Youji-kun?

If you don't have one already, you might want to get a rock or electric type. Falkner's Pokémon are around level 30, which isn't too bad.

Well, I don't have anyone that knows either of those types of moves. I've got a Sneasel, Lucario, Houndour, and Pidgeotto... Do you think they'd be okay? [They're pretty strong with all the training we've been doing someone has been enjoying living in a video game cut her some slack technically she's still got a few quirks of a sixteen year old.]

You'll be fine. Sneasels are ice types, and the others should be tough enough with the right strategy.

[After all, he used a Nidoking, a Haunter, and a Pidgeot.]

Oh, right, I forgot flying types would probably be weak against ice. [It's not that she knows the games that well, it just makes sense. Lots of birds typically don't do well in the cold.]

Then I'll be sure to use Saki when the time comes!
