Any of you who have been counsellors before, what should I bring out to camp?? Mum's giving me some cash to go to the city on Friday and pick stuff up... so what should I do?? Lemme know! :)
I've never been a counsellor before, but I'm an avid camper, and I suggest some stackable crates or baskets to keep all your crap in. Like the fancy things you can get at Ikea, but the cheap DIY version.
*sunscreen and bug spray. :) *good water sandals. *at the camp where i'm on staff, the counselors read to the campers every night after lights out. it would be fun to bring something from the chronicles of narnia, or blue like jazz. and a flashlight. *sometimes the kitchen will let you store some snacks in their fridge, so if you have foods you really like, or dietary restrictions or whatever, bring some food. *paper and markers, for fun signs. *WATER! or at least a good water bottle.
hmmhmmhmm. i haven't technically been a 'counselor' yet, so i'm not completely sure.
Last year my sister and I brought this huge box of freezies. We only took a couple handfuls at a time and put them in the staff freezer. This puts you into a powerful position on hot days when everyone complains about heat! :) I have a list of like all the things I brought to camp last year...I should email it to you...yes, you'd like it!
