Um.. I think I was seven when I was last here, right..? And I'm sixteen now, so it's been nine years or so. I think that would justify saying 'after all this time'..

Well.. [ a bit more awkward. ] I remember all those years, so there's no way they couldn't have passed, right..?

Maybe time just works very differently here from back home, even if this case is a little extreme.

I have heard that no time passes in our home worlds while we are here, so perhaps the opposite is true as well, as strange as that might be.

... That would explain a lot.. I mean, everyone is still here even though it's been such a long time for me. So ten years for me were only maybe a few hours at most for you guys..

[She nods.] Then that might be so, though it does not explain how some are here from the past. I know of at least two who are younger than when I first met them here, and they do not recognize this world.
