WARNING: fearful Snape-fan awaits book #7

Jul 17, 2007 04:33

In less than five days, my heart may break for a character who only exists in Harry Potter books, and I am going to be depressed. This is a rant, so don't read if you're already feeling low.

Jo Rowling has been entertaining us for years with her books and characters. But I fear that in this last book, she may go for the predictable child-pleasing ( Read more... )

I watched it three times, but now it's DELETED - "Content has been removed"!!! I have no idea what this means, like whether it proves the spoilers were true.

I have skipped most of the post, since I am a total HP beginner, but I understand your feelings quite well. Fictional characters can become as dear as real people, if the story is good. *hugs*

I have to fully agree on your assesment of the way the Gryffindors treat the Slytherins. I think that's one bad thing I can say about JKR. I didn't read all of it, June-love, but I wanted to send you a hug. I was listening to the morning news yesterday while I puttered around online and there was a mention of the "excited build up to the last HP book" - and I burst into tears. SubHub was not amused. He wants to find someplace else to live until after I get over whatever Hurricane Jo does.

There's always alternative universe.

Having all the baddies makes sense in the JK world, afterall, she writes 800 page books that do NOT endeavour to flesh out the Slytherin's deeper characters more, but instead provides silly filler action so the kids can get to the end of the school year where anything good is going to take place. You'd think Hermione would have cought on to that by now ( ... )
