Hospital weekend with ventricular tachycardia

May 03, 2006 22:03

The short: Friday night (April 28), my hubby Scott took me to the Kaiser emergency room, where I was admitted with a high heart rate (about 190 beats per minute) and had premature ventricular contractions. I just got out this afternoon (Wednesday, May 3); feeling much better now, mostly back to normal.

The long and tedious details here: )

June, I had no idea 'til today this had happened to you. I'm so relieved you got the attention and surgery you needed, and so quickly. Your description of what happened to you is one of the most amazing personal encounters with the medical system I've ever read--and you wrote it so eloquently, with courage and good humour shining through. It's like a primer on what to expect if this were to happen to us. May your recovery be swift and complete. My thoughts are with you!
