I've just read an Associated Press article about the "Cash for Clunkers" program, which takes $3billion of taxpayer money to subsidize new car purchases.
What kind of new cars am I helping others to buy? Gas-efficient cars, as claimed? Hah! Think Cadillac, Hummer, Lexus, Lincoln, and BMW.

The surgeon called -- the biopsy of the pea-sized lump showed it was benign. He also gave me a medical description that went over my head, but he clearly said it was "not cancerous." Benign is such a nice word ( Read more... )
