Baekhyun clears his throat, especially when Jongdae starts to put his arm around Baekhyun's shoulders. The other male seems to be completely unaffected by anything; this is just "casual dating" after all. This practically a blind date. Of course he doesn't care.
"Look, Jongdae, I have something to tell you..." Baekhyun trails off.
"Please don't tell me you're straight because this isn't the first time Chanyeol set me up with a straight guy, and I'm telling you, it isn't very fun to date someone that isn't interested in your private parts." Jongdae starts chuckling to himself and Baekhyun naturally leans closer. God, this guy is cute, he thinks to himself.
"No, it's just," he stops for a second, "I haven't exactly... left yet."
"What?" Jongdae holds him tighter so that they'd stop walking.
"I meant I didn't come."
Jongdae snorts suddenly. "Sorry, sorry. Whatever you're saying right now, it doesn't sound very good."
"Okay, what I'm trying to say is I didn't come out yet!" His voice is somehow loud in the empty street and Jongdae merely smiles.
"So this is your first public date," Jongdae confirms. Baekhyun nods.
"Okay. Let me try something." Jongdae holds him in place and tilts his chin up so that he'd stop facing the ground. He leans closer and leaves a small peck against his lips.
"I-I..."
"Was that your first kiss?"
"No!" Baekhyun quickly denies. Jongdae smiles, bright and easy, and it makes a few of the butterflies in Baekhyun's stomach go away.
"Your first public kiss, then?" Baekhyun nods. Jongdae kisses him again, this time longer and a little sweeter. "That was your second."
"I'm not an idiot. I know how to count," Baekhyun huffs. When he opens his eyes, Jongdae is still smiling at him. Jongdae is still there, just a breath away.
He places his hands at the back of Jongdae's neck and kisses him fully. There's no hesitation anymore, no fear that a random family member would materialize from thin air and suddenly tell his parents that their son is gay.
He doesn't mind anymore.
"I like you," Jongdae whispers once they've broken apart. "Usually, Chanyeol makes me go out with some really annoying guys, but I've got to say that you're my favorite."
Baekhyun laughs. "I've got to say that you're the only one who's ever kissed me after only knowing me for about two hours."
