Affectionate fingertips brush tenderly over chocolate skin. Arthur smiles adoringly at Guinevere’s sleeping form. He’s off to war again, riding into battle and blood. So he finds himself doing what he always does; looking in awe; tracing the curves of her body burning the images to his mind and pouring everything he is out of his fingertips into her awaiting skin.
He does this so that when he returns the horrors witness can be banished; for she keeps him safe, protected within her. It’s a ceremonial procedure of love that she doesn’t even knows happens. A ritual for his sprit.
