I realized playing poker is a waste of life. This outlook was triggered, of course, by the fact that it hasn't been going too well lately. But, it adds nothing to society (on the contrary, I'm making other people's lives worse), so the less I play, the better. So I flixed (think that'll catch on as slang?) the movie 'Secretary' a while ago. It came, I tried to watch it, it didn't work; I looked at it and realized it was actually the soundtrack to the movie, an audio CD. I checked off 'wrong disc' and sent it back, and they sent me a replacement.

I woke up just now thinking about my old white whale, data compression. Given a point in three-dimensional space relative to an origin, I was wondering if instead of just specifying the coordinates on three axes, it would save data to specify two degrees of rotation and a distance.
