Alot has happened..
But right now, how about we all discuss something that I'm sure a large number of you have encountered. Yes, this is going to be a rant, but one that I feel I can gain some general agreement on.
Some of you may already know what I am talking about. Yes, those 100-200 really pointless, really awkward, or just plain stupid questions, and they only give four answers, none of which really can be used to apply to the question itself.
13. Are you a slow eater?
17. Do others consider you a good friend?
18. Do they believe you are a slow eater?
(and one of my favorites..)
198. If you were invading a foreign land, would you feel sympathy towards the non-military participants that lived in that country?
What are the answers to these? Never. Sometimes. Mostly. Always.
Can you really apply any of those answers there to the questions? Or furthermore, to the job itself?
The following can only be answered with: Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Agree, or Strongly Agree.
Do your words usually offend people?
You like to be alone?
People are often mean to you?
You swear when you argue?
You don't believe a lot of what people say?
It is maddening when the court lets guilty criminals go free?
And then there's the other questions about your background.. which yeah, I know they're acceptable questions within their own right, but when they ask the same kind of question, or a series of questions, that are unnecessary after a given point..
Have you received any food stamps in the last six months? A: No
Have you received any food stamps for at least 3 out of the past 5 months? A: ... No. o.o
Have you used food stamps for at least a 60 day period within the last 6 months? A: ... WTF?
And those are actual questions, IN THAT ORDER, on the application
Have you ever been convicted of a crime or felony? A: No
Have you recently been let out of custody for being in prison due to a criminal offense or felony? A: Still No.
Are you currently on parole after serving time in prison, in accordance for criminal convictions? A: Do you want me to say 'Yes' at this point? Well, there was that one time... No.
And there are so so sooooo many more out there.. Go ahead, leave some of your own in some comments below! I demand.. err.. humbly request to see what odd inquiries have been made of your persons. ^_^

The worried part of my entry tonight is in concern for my cat, who is currently showing signs of pain. When you have enough vet experience, you learn to shun it when things happen to your pets, cuz you know what some symptoms could be hinting at. Things look.. well, I'll just wait and let the real vet see her tomorrow. A few words out to friends who have had a far more traumatic weekend, and wishes that recovery and feelings mend soon.

Cat is fine! Well, mostly. Bad infection on the back hip, and its going to take alot of messy work to take care of, but after a week or two things should clear up. Phew.
