While prefects are permitted to leave for the holidays, I have always held the opinion that breaks are Fine and Restful times to remain at the school. Did I myself not have Responsibilities at home, I should Never be persuaded to leave. To think of the austere Beauty of the Scottish countryside in winter, not to mention the Tranquillity of a more-or-less empty school - I believe that the time gained for Preparation and Contemplation would be only too short. If you do decide to stay, please remember your Friend and pity her for her numerous siblings.
