In case you're wondering whose post you're looking at... I've renamed this journal from yranth to juniper. yranth was the name of a green dragon belonging to one of my favourite MUSH characters, now sadly no longer played. Christmas market
One of the nice new things that's happened in the last couple of years is that we now have a small outdoor market in the city centre in the run-up to Christmas. Still here
There doesn't seem to be much to write about at present. Work is a slog, but only a moderate slog: I feel quite guilty that some of my colleagues are quite ridiculously overloaded when my own teaching load is quite reasonable this semester. Hitting the shops
I've just had a fun morning. A friend from work was going to a local garden centre and the cash and carry, and she suggested I join her. Her sister came along too. All Saints
I'm not a lover of Halloween, but let me wave a little flag this morning to celebrate All Saints' Day. It's the day in the church calendar for remembering all those believers who have gone before, especially those who died for the faith. Evidence
I've long suspected that my cat visits the kitchen worktops when I'm not around, but now I've got proof. She broke her collar today and left it half way up the stairs - minus the magnet that lets her through the cat flap. And where did I find the magnet? Clinging to the top of the cooker! Not so sleepy
I had some enforced catching up on sleep. I started a migraine yesterday morning and took some of the new tablets that the doctor's given me at lunchtime. "May cause drowsiness," it says on the box.
