I've recently become aware of this website, which delivers one-line excerpts of poetry reviews as they are published. I decided a week or two ago to subscribe to this site's feed and, when the inclination struck, to use the excerpted lines as fodder for prose poetry. Today is the first time that has happened. This morning, I was getting ready to leave my apartment when suddenly I started hearing this rumbling noise and the building started rattling. Jesus Christ, I thought, are the kids upstairs riding dirtbikes in the house or something? In December, I lost my ubiquitous brown cardigan. In January, I decided to knit a new one, prettier than the last. Yesterday, I finished it. ( click for pictures! ) -

It has been supremely weird to be actually producing academic writing again after nearly a year and a half away from it. The last paper I actually wrote was my Weil/Bataille thing, which I finished in approximately March of last year.
