WellIF they're rumoring X box to play other sytem's games, I wouldn't be surprised if they go the Sega route and have them play old Sega CD & Dramcast games. They wouldn't be able to get the competition to work with them on playing playstation games on a non-PS sytem. They'll be at each other's throats as far as competition goes anyway.. so if anything, I wouldn't be surprised to see Sega's stuff get dumped on the X-box... since Sega's not a contender anymore as far as systems go. And if you need your zelda fix.. I'd say just grab the GBAdvance. They haven't released any zelda games specifically for it YET, but it's backwards compatible. They just released 2 new Game Boy zelda games, and those'll play ont he GBA. What they're doing w/the GBA& the new game cube is silly, though. You can plug your GBA into the GC to make an extra controller.. blah. Big deal. I suppose if controllers are expensive, though, it's a good way to get your freinds w/GBA to bring their own controllers, though.. As long as they provide 4+ ports, though
( ... )
Yeah, Sega might do that. Its a good idea. But, however, comma...Making a compatability like that may make it easier for the people who make import exchange discs/mod chips to find a little loophole where one actually CAN play all platform's games. But youre right on the PS stuff, they're going to be too stiff of competition to do something so...together. O_o; And the Zelda thing...yeah....i'll just settle with a GBA and steal one of my friend's Gamecubes and Zelda game when theyre done for a bit. lol... I think Nintendo should concentrate more on pocket systems. They kick ass with those. But they're not so good with platforms anymore, the games tend to suck. I maintain that the original Nintendo and the Super Nintendo were the most kickass systems ever. Right up there with Atari, god dammit! O_O *cough* urm, yeah.
Something deep inside me tells me the X-Box is gonna tank it, and tank it hard. I just don't think Square will be enough, and most third parties are prolly gonna be developing for the Gamecube. I bet Squaresoft may get back with Nintendo too, as the two companies have had a good relationship from way back. =)
