'Advice From The Experts' by Bill Knott is one of my favourite poems, ever.

oh, completely. my personal favourite has always been 'The Misunderstanding'. that poem for me just hits it. encapulates all the despair that one feels toward this world of wild injustices.

they're all anglo? english is a terribly limiting language to write poetry in.

hmm, you may well be right. i bet poets like celan or breton for instance have worlds within them that become lost in translation. however, i don't read any other language, so, alas, i have to limit myself to the poverty of english verse! what are some of your favourite non-english poets, if you don't mind me asking?
