i don't know if you should put so much confidence in my poetic tastes; they can be patchy at best. but thanks all the same for the awesome compliment, adam. :)
oh, completely. my personal favourite has always been 'The Misunderstanding'. that poem for me just hits it. encapulates all the despair that one feels toward this world of wild injustices.
hmm, you may well be right. i bet poets like celan or breton for instance have worlds within them that become lost in translation. however, i don't read any other language, so, alas, i have to limit myself to the poverty of english verse! what are some of your favourite non-english poets, if you don't mind me asking?
