Probably my current favorite in the photo world, William Seldon. I have been noticing photo works of Mr. William Seldon for a while now mostly in Uk based magazines like "the face". I scanned what I have found for you to see. I am very curious to find out what he does digitaly to the skin of the models because it is something I have never ever seen ( Read more... )

yeah but its completely different. thats solve sundsbo-ish kind of photo illustration that i also love and that is getting more and more pages in the magz. even Rankin is resorting to this kind of imagery lately, and i think thats fun!

yeah yeah, i am a huge solve sundsbo fan. i thought of this right away when i saw your seldon phots, but you're right it is different. His are much harsher, etc.

interesting indeed. i would probably say shitloads of make up, but then again, you can really see the skin, on some of them even the little veins! i once brought an oxygen face cream in italy that made your skin really pale, if used often, even transparent, you could see the veins. i could put some bright make-up on it and then a layer of one of those sticky, fluidy masks and that would make an effect of a skin like that. combined with good digital work and there you have it. i am thinking shiseido face gel was good for that ("pureness" line) but those bastards discontinued producing it! It was absolutely transparent and made your skin look shiny like that right after applying. but it wasn't sticky enough and so i'm thinking here they actually used a thin layer of a sticky face mask. my skin always looks like that if i apply one. they might have put it over some light make-up even. i can see that happening especially in the "elvis" piccie with a cigarette, there is definitely a layer of some face mask on the nose area. might even be " ( ... )
