Hey guess what? I finished my thesis.  I'm really proud of it, though I'm sure it still needs further revision.  If you'd like to read it and give me feedback I'd appreciate it... be warned it's lengthly.

Nice, sounds really interesting. Just curious if you use the language "Plan Colombia" anywhere in the paper. Curious if you talk at all about the role of U.S. corporations in this drug war, with pesticide companies, private security companies, Colombian forces being trained at the School of the Americas, oil pipelines, etc.?

Yeah I make mention of Plan Colombia and how it's pretty much a kowtow to US demands, especially how it changed from the initial plan devised by Pastrana and how the military focus of it alienated European support...

I look briefly (very) at DynCorp, which contracts pilots for spraying, U.S. training (though not specifically school of the americas). Since my class is "bioterrorism" I'm looking more at the problems created by chemical spraying and whether what's happening in Colombia can be considered "Terrorism" and why spraying is a failing policy and what alternatives should be enacted.
