Ah, uhm, heh, this is kinda embarrassing_ I was going to make the below entry private because it was just a boring week recap.. so bear (bare?) with me one more time ;-)

Top 5 reasons why I'm against war.

Me: Who put Saddam Hussein in power in the first place? and Bin Laden? and Pinochet in Chile?
Steven: The U.S...
Me: Then don't you think it's ( Read more... )

I think there are some things that need to be cleared up....

Being "anti-war" doesn't mean "anti-American" or "anti-activity" or "anti support".
I simply believe there are other ways to take action without means of war and use more diplomacy, that more alternatives should be exhausted before we jump in.
I am praying for the troops, civilians, and anyone that will be affected.
I don't think it's ever too late for promoting peace, and I don't think it's obligatory for me to support the Bush administration's policies when I believe they are wrong_ but I fully respect your opinions if they differ.

I agree with you completely Junko. You make some very good points. I only hope that at the next election there will be enough people pissed at that donkey man that runs this country to vote for anyone BUT him. Chipmunks could run America better than Bush. ;) Hehe.

And it's important to stand up for what you believe in no matter what the rest of the country is doing. Our country doesn't need our support to go bomb Iraq. I'm sure they can find it themselves. I think. Hmm....

Anyway, that's just what I think. Don't bite me... I don't think about stuff other than sex very often so forgive me if I sound like a dork. Ehem. :D

Why Jen, thank you for spending that one elite, "pure" hour out of the 24 that you usually spend thinking about sex on this entry ;) (unless we start thinking about hot military men... hmm)

oh, and you are not forgiven. at all. I am kicking you out of the dork team. How blasphemous of you.

*waves* Hi. Not correcting... just... well i am correcting. The protest for education is not tommorrow (today?) but the day after bush declares war. Just walk right outta school! Everyone should go to the protest, because even if you think its too late to stop war from starting, its never too late to voice your openion on the wrong-doings of our country!

Hey Junko! IT's Ty, and I was reading your LJ and it made me happy! I just wanted to say, thank you for saying all that! I am so sick of hearing people say that the US needs to "Protect people form Saddam" when he's no worse than half of the other dictators we put in power! You rock baby! Luvs,
Ty

hey junko, it's liz m from english class! i just have one thing to say. Woooooooooooooo! i think you are so completely totally exactly right on! Everything you said is like, something i've thought, except you put it much more eloquently! the whole problem is that this war isn't justified, there's no reason for it. props to you for putting it so well!
