Partition Magic is your friend. Rather than choose "which OS should I run," why not partition the hard drive three ways and have one each for Vista, XP, and your own choice of *nix?
Nobody loves Vista, but XP /is/ being shoved off the cliff these days. We all have to at least become familiar with Vista on some level, so why not strip it down (that is, "Optimize for Best Performance") and have a little fun?
I'm going to have to agree with the previous poster. Dunno what size the HD is in that thing, but even at 100 gb, splitting it 3 ways with Partition Magic and triple booting is not bad. Hell, I even have a Knoppix disk sitting around for occasional troubleshooting purposes.
Like it or not, at some point, we'll have to support FistaVista and may as well get ready on our own terms.

Hey, that's what I do.
As for everything else, as you expect, I have no idea.
