It's already the best Abi's ever done in terms of Christmas. In her foster homes, no matter how nice the people were, no matter how accommodating or how awesome her presents were, the fact that she wasn't really family always made the holidays awkward to maneuver for her. And after she got out of the system, celebrating the holidays just didn't seem worth it.
She puts the last of the cookies in the oven before turning to reenter the living room. Bobby's presents are actually sitting right under the Christmas tree. Two days after they put it up, she just...slipped them right under there, wrapped nice and pretty and hidden in plain sight. But she doesn't pick them up, moving to sit next to Bobby and peck his cheek. "Cookies will be done in a minute. Hopefully before Santa Claus is Coming to Town comes on."
"I've been watching the time, you've got plenty before it comes on." Bobby doesn't understand the appeal of the movie, but it was her favorite, so by God they were going to sit down and watch it. He smiles at the kiss and sets his own books aside.
"Talked to the boys, they're going to be passing through tomorrow. Maybe you can send 'em off with some of those cookies, make Dean's year."
There are a few gifts under the tree already. A couple for the boys, mainly equipment they needed and some warmer clothes. Nothing too sentimental. Those gifts were for Abi.
Come on, who doesn't love a villain named Burgermeister Meisterburger? She just loves the movie because she gets to giggle every time he comes on screen.
"That's good." It is. She loves the boys and she wants to see them for Christmas, but she's definitely looking forward to her time alone with her Dad. "Maybe. But there's a pecan pie and a gingerbread apple pie that I'll be making tomorrow with Dean's name on them."
Abi picked her book up off of the arm of the couch, going back to studying her exorcism rituals. She'd consider taking a day off if all of this wasn't so...interesting. Speaking of interesting... "Do you think any tattoo parlors are going to be open tomorrow?"
Bobby is just.. going to choke quietly to death on his beer for a good long moment. "Tattoo parlor?"
Cookies, Christmas movie, tattoos. It's enough to give a guy whiplash. But that's part of why he adores her so much. Abi's good at keeping him on his toes like that.
