Just a brief hello from NZ> D and I are having heaps and fun: lots of sleep, lots of exercise, lots of food and lots of s..stuff, yes... Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas (for those of you celebratng it), Yule/Summer Solstice (for others)- and general holiday for anyone not already indicated! Noe, for a meme:

What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?

♥ Worked two jobs, had high tea at the Hyatt- lots of things

2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

♥ I don't make resolutions, needs always change.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

♥ Nope

4. Did anyone close to you die?

♥ Nope

5. What countries did you visit?

♥ New Zealand!

6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?

♥ A fulltime job, our own place

7. What dates from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

♥ May 28 (the drunken party event), June 3- the night D and I met and fell in love.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

♥ Quitting two jobs that made me very unhappy.

9. What was your biggest failure?

♥ Urgh, not finishing NaNo

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

♥ Just minor bouts of sickness.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

♥ I don't know- probably a book/graphic novel of some variety.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?

♥ Evan's- for being a great friend, and a cheer up every time he came into the office. And yes- every one of my friends really, but I'm singling Evan out because he always came in when I was depressed. Oh- and S and B for the stimulating conversations!

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?

♥ Aside from government. ONe person who shall remain unnamed- for dwelling on the past, for ignorance, for being persistently rude and insulting while still maintaining the most astonishing, bullshit martyr complex I've ever seen. Excuse me if I have more sympathy for the starving, the impoverished, the refugees of this world.

14. Where did most of your money go?

♥ Books and coffee.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

♥ Getting married!

16. What song will always remind you of 2005?

♥ 'Everything', Lifehouse

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

♥ Writing.

♥ Bitching and moaning.

♥ Fending off marriage related questions, wedding dress suggestions, and butter.

♥ Happily, yes.

♥ None.

♥ Don't much go in for TV.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

♥ Not hate, per say, but dislike intensely.

♥ I'm reading it at the moment- Perdido Street Station by China Mieville

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?

♥ The Velvet Goldmine soundtrack in Revolution, for $14.95

28. What did you want and get?

♥ Books, so many books!

29. What did you want and not get?

♥ Sleep.

♥ "Good Night and Good Luck"- intelligent, witty.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

♥ Nothing at all, I like quiet birthdays.

♥ I couldn't ask for anything more than what I received.

♥ Vintage laziness, slight hippy edge.

♥ My sun and stars.

♥ None.

♥ One?

♥ My grandmother.

♥ A few: Damien, Sarah, Bonnie, Evan.
