Do you ever sit down and look at your work, your projects... and wonder why? Do you ever feel alone within them? Sometimes I just look at this whole thing and think why do I even bother with this? I told myself I wouldn't start this project until I was ready and I could do it right. I jumped the gun. I'm not a good enough artist to give this ( Read more... )

[BIG hugs] You have become a beautiful, intelligent, AMAZING and TALENTED artist and writer. It can never be the same because every piece of art is different. It's not BAD, just different. Even traces are different. I'm glad Keitarou has kept you from hitting that delete key.

As for leaving the animation school, don't sweat it. What they think and say doesn't matter. (And in truth, I'm sure none of them can hold a candle to your talent.)

[BIG hugs again] It'll get better, I promise!

i know how you feel. you've just got to put things in list of priorities and take care of them one after the other.
thats what i'm doing. sometimes it helps to just take a break.
it's hard to try and convey feelings without being overtaken by them.

"it's hard to try and convey feelings without being overtaken by them."

God that's so true. I need a break. I do. I think I just need to get to some of the hardcore scenes and put all my emotions there. *nods* ;) Thanks John. *hugs*

oh, Blair, you are so wonderful. You and I are so strikingly alike in this respect, this post, and I can empathize. Keep everything. Just make multiple copies. My first orchestrated piece has 17 version on my computer. Every composition of mine has seen a myriad of revisions, none of which I am happy with. But I don't delete anything either.

Art is art, whether the artist is happy with it or not. For a gifted artist as yourslef, you see the unreachable potential of perfection (something very few people can conceptualize), and so no work of yours will ever match that beauty.

That does not mean, by any standard, that your art is not beautiful. It just may not seem as such to YOU. It's the same with all great artists.

::hugs::
