all for the love of boys in make-up

I am so tired today! I got up semi-early (9am) for once, and walked around my neighborhood for a while, trying to catch the last of the cherry blossoms while i can.

Last friday, I went to disneySea with a friend, and had a great time!

The weather was lovely and sunny, unlike the typhoon like conditions the last time i went to disneyland in December. DisneySea is a disney park unique to Tokyo, and it is really nice! It's built to attract a slightly more adult crowd, hence it is a top date spot for young couples. there are 6 different 'lands', ranging frm a man-made volcano that blows it's top every hour, to Aladdin's arabian area, a underwater area for Ariel, a old town Ney York cityscape, a mayan/amazon themed area, and a modernized sci-fi area.

Most of the rides, other than the little mermaid and aladdin ones, were not disney character themed, but rather were based on past disney movies like Idiana jones and the Journey to the center of the Earth. Journey was my favorite ride! It has a slow start but toward the end there is a jolt of speed and a nice couple drops. during part of the ride, the car shoots out of the tunnel, and you can see the cityscape of Disneysea. At night, (i rode it twice) the view is spectacular. Enough so that i stopped mid scream to admire the view. ^_^

The food at DisneySea is also much better than both the Tokyo Disneyland and the Anaheim one, and cheaper at that! I had coconut flavored popcorn, a gyozadog, a ratatooui panini and a couple other snacks during the day while i was there and spent less than 20$ total.

Because most Japanese, and tourists head to Disneyland, Sea was relativly less crowded and less filled to capacity with crying children. My friend and I got there at park opening, bought tickets, and entered the park in less than 5 minutes. This is comparisonto the 30 minutes wait at disneyland, with prebought tickets, arriving 30 minutes before gate opening, on a rainy day.We only used 3 fast passes, and didn't hurry, still managed to ride all the major attractions( and a couple twice), have multiple stops for food and shopping, and have a good time. Night time at the park is gorgeous!

As much as I was complaining about having a long spring break, I'm sad to see it come to an end. Classes start for me on the 13th of April.
