i have exactly 1 week before i head home to PDX!
I'm a little sad and a lot excited to be heading back.
is it bad that i am looking forward to the flight home soley because i'll be able to watch English movies over the Pacific ocean?
maybe.^_^
I haven't started packing up my crap yet, but i aim to start tonight if this cold i caught yesterday doesn't kill me first. I had a great albeit hectic and drama filled weekend!
Saturday night, a couple of the oregon peoples threw a 和風 drinking party. in other words a bunch of people, both japanese and not, dressed up in yukata and jinbei, and getting very very drunk. it was alot of fun, and the food at the izakaya we went to was great. but the night, along with all other parties involving a certain group of people, was not without it's share of drama. oy vey.the large amount of alcohol consumed by all involved probably did not help the situation. but i manage to get home, safe and sound, just burning with the insane need to punch someone. in the face. twice.
Sunday was awesome!!! I got to go to Pastel for lunch, and for some venting with friends, and then we went and saw the Trick 2 movie! i love the Abe Hiroshi/Nakama Yukie combo anyday!
after the movie i went straight to Jiyugaoka for sushi with Sumiko and her awesome family. She is so lucky to have such cool parents and siblings!
Afterwards, we went back to their house for coffee and PASTEL pudding from Nagoya.
Yup, i got to have Pastel pudding twice in one day!!!( well, technicalling one was pineapple jelly)(totchiko, if you ever get a chance to go to Nagoya, get the Kochin egg pudding!)
I got a huge bag full of gifts from Sumiko and her family! Though i am really thankful for their kindness, i'm a little worried about how i am going to get it all back to Oregon!
I am really ready for school to be over.
