Yes it is a thing of the past however, a freaking cool thing might I add. To be able to power a machine on ground at 700 mph is simply amazing. 200mph for the first time felt like holy goodness with your nerves shaking you for about a week after. I can't imagine how it must feel to break the sound barrier in a car. Take a look.
