Building kit car

I'm planning for a Kit Car build. Looking at old school S2's or trying to find something along the lines of a caterham or even radical frame. I want something rwd, super lightweight. Planning on using a 1300cc hybu motor turboed. I want a high-reving motorcycle motor. I'm starting soon, anyone want to join, more than welcome to. It's either gonna ( Read more... )

I'm never around but if I ever am I'm in for some wrenching.

Also I really like the idea of using that Radical chassis...it's free, and it's a head start.

I was thinking of finding a mini cooper...yes hard as hell to find but, it's legal and we can go beat porsches and lot of fast car in it lol. I would want to convert it to rwd though. Hewland made a gearbox called an FTR, it's the most commonly used box used in formula racing. I was thinking about using one to pair up to the busa motor. It's a 6 speed sequential, with a reverse gear, dogs and pretty much any part in a hewland we have spares for at the shop so I can get parts easily if needed. If anyone comes across a mini in good condish without lots of rust, drop a link.
