Analyze your writing! Oh, I see now. Dan Brown. Writer of Da Vinci Code and other religious/action stuff. (Something about the code given is glitching for me. Not sure why.) Figures. I quickly submitted the opening to Plight, which is religious heavy...

" (Narrator's voice. Scene is pitch black.) “In the beginning, there was nothing. A blank canvas, waiting for someone to give it life. And so, the Alphas, the Care Takers of Everything, grazed it's blank status and granted to it a swirl. Everything that ever was, is, or will yet be, can give thanks to the eruptions of matter that spewed forth from this giving well. (Scene springs to life with the swirl erupting matter.) Though it was only raw materials, the amino acids for base life clung to the minute minerals with a passion. Clouds of gaseous vapor would eventually find one another and create the friction for explosions with the raw material. Major and minor stars were born, many strengthening the forces to bind matter into planets. The larger ones would spark fires that would light the black void for generations. The genes of life would survive to find havens in which to thrive. (Scene illustrates the forming of stars, planets and moons in fast forward.) Single celled life forms would strive to become complicated forms. (Scene jumps to a cesspool with a life form walking out of it.) An integrated matrix of life would interweave to Terra form their various homes into unique habitats. Most would survive the process of adaptation. A chosen few would thrive to become more then the parts of their descendants. They would create in ways greater then their world's had conceived. Each of these rather rare and unique species developed in their own ways. Some were guided by The Light. Others found paths amongst The Darkness. Most went their journeys alone. (Scene takes a galactic journey towards a distant planet. It flies at “break neck” speed towards an atmosphere. Then, a landscape. Followed by a single building amidst a forest of lush vegetation. And ends inside the building.) We were fortunate. Ours was a graced way. The Light provided for us and kept us safe on our journey into sentience. (A female Foxen nun, standing on hind legs and dressed in a simple garb, lectures to a room full of Foxen youth. Her voice turns out to be that of the Narrator.) There are lost others that have come from distant worlds to challenge our ways. They wish to pollute our very core of reasoning with lies and deception and they come from our very own region of space. Eleven species that we know of. All of which wish to change how we live. They go as far as to declare war to meet their causes. Always trust in The Light. It is the truth and will guide you always. No level of deception can blind in the face of The Light. Children, turn to chapter 23 in your...” (The light coming through the nearby windows grows dark, rapidly. It is accompanied by a notable rumbling tone. It grabs the nun's attention, rapidly.) “Children. Proceed to the shelter in a calm and orderly manner. The sinners may be planning to visit us in a rather unorthodox mannor.” (The Foxen children are quick to leap to their feet and crowd into the narrow lane towards the room's only exterior door. The situation turns sour in a hurry and the Nun drops to her knees, taking up a poise of prayer for help from The Light. The children panic in a hurry as a few are grasped by shadowy hands coming from thin air and pulling them upwards. In mere seconds, the Nun is busy in lines of prayer as the hand grasps her by the mid-section. She screams and is cut off as her body disappears a couple feet above the floor. Nobody ever made it to the doors to open them.)
(Opening scene. The viewpoint rushes away from the church to the atmosphere, giving a brief view of a gigantic TriCylian Star base above the planet of Katrina, (Home planet of the Foxen race.) before it makes a quick getaway to view other inhabited planets in the system...and beyond. Credits music begins.)"
