its actually about words and new vocabulary used by kids such as "scene" and "emo". I dont think this applies too much, unless i want it to be really really angsty...

that's a really good point. i totally agree. i find that the more i define myself through labels "vegan" or "anarchist" or "socialist" or whatever, the less sense of identity i have for myself. and it's hard not to, since it's much easier to understand a two dimensional label than it is a real person. it's just dangerous when we do it to ourselves, and i find myself doing it way too often, and it's bad.
