380- Year in Review: 2011
1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Gambled! Also, graduating from a higher education institution.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't remember making any New Years' Resolutions, and I don't think I will for next year. Instead, I'm going to think about some things I would like to do in 2012. But I suppose one I should make is to update my journal more. xD I haven't really updated it since the beginning of 2011.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
None, sadly.
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
More self-confidence and acceptance, as well as better social skills. I would also like to try and get involved in a romantic relationship this year.
7. What dates from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
November 18th to November 21st! That was the Vegas trip!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Paying off all of my "bad" debt! I only have my car to worry about. I also graduated from FRCC and got into the CSU School of Business.
9. What was your biggest failure?
I didn't lose that much weight this year, and I didn't stand up for myself as often as I should have.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nope!
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Plane tickets. :D
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My family and friends. You were wonderful to me this year; thank you for understanding! <3
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
No one, really.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Bills, my savings account, and random spending here and there.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Graduating from FRCC, getting into CSU, KMFDM concert, Vegas, and Christmas.
16. What song will always remind you of 2011?
"Akatsuki no Kuruma" by FictionJunctionYUUKA. I listened to this song a LOT during this past year.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) Happier or sadder? Sadder. Although, I was feeling pretty emotionally numb this time last year.
b) Thinner or fatter? A little thinner.
c) Richer or poorer? Richer.
d) Older or wiser? Both.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Travel, save money, spend time with my friends, read books, and watch movies.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Hiding in my cave!
20. How will you be spending New Years?
Going to our annual New Years formal dinner and party.
21. Did you fall in love in 2011?
No. I think I had a chance, but it didn't work out.
22. How many one-night stands?
None.
23. What was your favorite TV program?
D: I can't decide! Kira has gotten me hooked on to a lot of new TV shows. But...Probably.... Supernatural. That and Friends are my two favorites.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.
25. What was the best book you read?
Augh! Don't do this to me! D: I've read way too many books this year to decide...
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Ehhhh... I guess Basshunter, if I had to pick. I didn't really branch out musically this year, though.
27. What did you want and get?
Acceptance into CSU, a raise at work, wonderful friends. <3
28. What did you want and not get?
Someone that I can trust enough to share my heart with.
29. What was your favorite film of this year?
Oooh, another hard one. I will have to go with Beastly, though. Just kidding! I really enjoyed The King's Speech, Super 8, 50/50 and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.
30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 25 this year. On my actual birthday, I met my sister, Wes, and some other friends for dinner at Old Chicago.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Less work and school, and more money.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
Classic. No crazy prints or anything, just solid colors and styles that can work in any situation.
33. What kept you sane?
My friends, books, TV and movies, and my cat.
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I guess Lady GaGa, but I don't know. xD
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
Ehh... I really can't think of one. I didn't pay that much attention to politics this year, to be honest.
36. Who did you miss?
My mom. D:
37. Who was the best new person you met?
I didn't meet many new people this year, but I think Tara is the best new person! She is really awesome. <3
