So it's been a good weekend so far. I went down to Eugene Friday night to see "Faust", courtesy of Egen & Mathea's spare ticket. Decent seats; production is awesome. The lighting plot *rocks*, and it works so well with Fearga's costumes. Egen was a very impressive soldier; we hope there are some good photos of the scenes with him as one of the ( Read more... )

Glad you liked the opera! Egan was quite the fierce soldier; I wonder where he gets that from... ;-)

Funny thing-- Egan & I did the "I almost recognize you... but I'm not sure from where!" glance/ponder thing at a couple of rehearsals, but it wasn't until we were in garb-like costumes that we were able to place each other. It was quite the moment to be waiting backstage, and then hear the question, "Didn't you used to be Bard of the West?"

My crazy term AND the opera season are over... I might even see you at Egil's!

Hi - yes, we had a great time. I thought Egen looked great as the soldier; we're hoping there are good shots with him in the foreground.

He told us about almost recognizing you - we filled him in on the connection.

It would be great to see you at Egils! What about Coronet?

Obviously not Coronet... I've spent the past couple days mostly sleeping, since I pushed myself too hard at the end of the term/opera season. But Egil's is something I can plan toward!
