Winter Solstice

So, a few years ago we started celebrating the solstice. We take stale bread, old veggies, (not rotten, just stuff we'd likely throw out) and go up on the hill and put it out for the deer. Just peeking at your journal from spectrum or special parent (forget which one).

What you say about Christmas reminds me of my Nordic background and is very close to my own beliefs. :-)

My husband and I both have Norse ancestry on our mothers' sides, celtic and english on our fathers'. That's part of why we do it.
Your icon is the flag of Finland. Do you have other Norse? We are both Danish, but I have Swedish, and he has Norwegian.
