Clearly you, like 90% of fandom, have been spending copious amounts of time trying to figure out the hints being dropped. Your paradox, and the fact that the Mark came from Lucifer, makes the most sense so far!
Sorry, sounds a bit too intrcate to me. Maybe crowley is lying telling dean that killing is saving him to become full-time demon (despite black eyes and everything)? Now as dean is dead mark can't kill him, but if dean continues killing people his soul will get corrupted more and more, and with time he will have to turn into 100%demon. So the way out is no killing.

Lol, you may be completely right of course :D
And I do realize that I'm breaking my brain over something that they're probably not even giving second thoughts in the writing room, or that's gonna get handwaved or forgotten at some stage, but boy, is it fun to come up with theories :D
Well done for putting all this together and into words that make sense.
To be honest I don't know what the hell is going on, how can Crowley tell Dean to dill or he'll become a demon when he quite clearly already is...or is he?
When I first saw that scene, my initial, honest gut reaction was that Dean was using the term...sort of ironically...using it for want of a better term. And now, having viewed the scene a few times... I still think that
( ... )
Having said that, given your explanation of the quote as a "Deanism" - wouldn't you have thought that Dean would have ~enhanced the term "demon" a little bit? Like adding air quotes, or going "oooohhhh a deeeemonnnn! - Dun dun dunnnn!" The way he delivered that line was just so ~plain, so matter-of-fact.
Then again, maybe he'd heard that line from Crowley so many times that it just bored him at that stage. :D
And you shouldn't resist! Because it's awesome fun! I love that people are puzzling on the little tidbits that Show throws out to tantalize us! It's so great to discuss them and pull them to pieces and analyze them like this! :)

You don't know how much it means to me that all this makes sense to someone.
(Especially to someone so in tune with show as yourself.)

One person suggested that maybe Crowley is simply lying - maybe it's just that easy, lol.
