Thoughts about de-aging Dean and the Mark of Cain

Immediately after the last episode I was thinking, hey, why not find a witch, any ol' witch, and get her to de-age Dean to just before he accepted the Mark? Piece of cake!

Then I thought some more, and there was Cas' "It is more than just a physical thing. It will take a very powerful force to remove the effect." And the First Blade. And  "The river

Very well put, and it definitely makes me feel better than thinking the boys have just missed some really obvious way to remove the Mark. I think you're right about it being visibly missing in teen Dean, but not gone really. I think if he'd stayed a teen, in time, the bloodlust would have re-surfaced even if the scar wasn't actually there and wouldn't that have been a tragedy for them?

But yeah, scar removal... it's not like anyone went and focussed on that aspect of that amazing episode as an episode tag.... ;)

Forgot to say, I'm glad you went ahead and posted this. It's definitely put me in a better frame of mind about the situation - that it isn't as simple as it appears on the surface.
