Thoughts on 8.23 (Spoilers...)

So I have this head canon till the next episode...
...where Sam is actually an awesome brother. He realizes how shook up Dean was by Cas beating him up and then disappearing - again.
And now Dean went and killed Benny, the only person who “never let him down”, to save Sam, hoping Benny would return from Purgatory with Sam. Only to find out that yet again somebody chose to be ~away from Dean.

What I would like now...
...is for the writers to give Dean powers. To balance things out and make him a bit important as well.

In case anyone else missed it...
That scene in 8.10 where Cas watches Dean sleeping?
He wakes him up by turning up the sound of the wind and the birds singing.
This was pointed out by someone on tumblr, I completely missed it myself... being enthralled by the shot of sleeping Dean... :) -
Scary idea about this season...
I'm just thinking... Please don't let the whole season be a dream of Sam's or Dean's!! Jayzus!
(Anyone old enough to remember Dallas and Bobby Ewing in the shower??) -
