Goodbye, Dad

     Today my father slipped away from the world quietly, peacefully and without pain. Last night he was chatting with my brother and sister who were up to visit him in Northern Michigan, and this morning he never woke up and within a couple hours of attempts to wake him, his body drifted into eternal sleep. Even if every single religion is absolutely wrong: every day that anyone (and everyone) was (and is) here - it's mind-blowingly amazing.

He's in you and from that has some immortality. And by you sharing him with us - his immortality grows.

Personally I don't believe life is so rare... But we probably won't see any validation along those lines in our lifetimes. =/

Sorry to hear about that dude. I'm really close to my dad and couldn't bear the pain of losing him.

But it sounds like he lived a long fruitful life and is in a better place now *hugs*

If what he believed is true, then he's in a better place, most likely. If not, he's at least one with nature and returning to the earth from whence he came.
