I understood that examples of irreducible complexity was something that Darwin himself said would be a serious problem to evolutionary theory. It's extremely possible that I'm incorrect in this, as I often am, though.

No clue, I never read any of Darwin's work myself, just familiar with the modern interpretations. =) I'm a lot more well-read on folks like Richard Dawkins and Charles Krebbs.
