FurBuy's road has come to the edge of a cliff. It will take a community to build a bridge, otherwise the future falls off into the sea.

Are you sure Furbid is officially dead? I noticed it's been down for a while, but in cleaning out my bookmarks, found it's back up tonight. Color me surprised!

Wow, so after 2 months they fixed whatever had been wrong with it that was causing blatant 500 errors for the whole site. You'd think that would be a clear indicator to steer clear of the site, and yet there are about 10 auctions posted on it again after it went for over a month PRIOR to the downtime with zero auctions. Yeah, it's amazing how a name can carry itself like that.

Anyway, Noriko (who owns/operates Furbid) told me at FC2013 that she's officially closing the site for good. I assumed that the 500 errors were her way of doing so. So the "officially dead" statement I made was just as much based on what Noriko told me as the 2 months of 500 errors.
