I know that, at times, it's necessary for some sites to have some sort of verification system set up to prevent bots from automatically creating accounts.  However, I (and a few others I've talked to) are getting frustrated with the Captcha thing, or whatever is it some sites use.  Preventing a computer from reading it seems to also prevent a human

Ah, those.
I read that those things are a surreptitious method of converting old documents into regular text. Why do it yourself when you can hand it over to the unwashed masses? Ha.

I KNOW they are not the only way to dissuade bots. There was one site that just had you check a box. That's it. Refreshing and quick.
