Several things:
1.) I feel really bad for Robert Wagner. I've seen him on so many "old people" commercials lately. Surely he can do better than that, right? I mean, he's an A-list celebrity.
2.) Damn Professor Hope. Half a letter grade higher and I could have had a 4.0 this semester.
3.) Is it possible to get addicted to exercise? I've started ( Read more... )

3. I think you can get addicted to the endorphin rush from exercise, but as long as you continue to eat like a normal person, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

5. I love those acapella moments. :) And I've been listening to Hairspray a lot.

I love you, and I have things to tell you, I just haven't gotten around to writing it out yet. But I got your messages on Facebook, and I will respond, I promise. *hugs*

That happened to me when I started running regularly (again). It's more of an, "I'm so used to moving my legs right now and not feeling like a dirty American slob that I'm gonna have to go for a run again today," thing... por lo menos en mi opinion.

Exercise addiction is only bad if it comes to the point of pumping iron and doing ridiculous stuff that can and will damage your body. Running does not have that effect, though I would think that 3 miles a day without at least one day as the "break" is going to be a killer somewhere down the line. Running is great for your heart but it puts a lot of pressure on your legs and if you don't do it properly or well spaced out you can do some nasty damage. I'm sure you run fine, but just don't start changing what you're doing because it could hurt you.

As far as exercise bulimia, to my knowledge isn't that just eating a ton of shit and then running to "burn it off"? It's probably worse for your system to do that than just eating healthy and exercising OR shitty and not exercising. You make yourself ultra-sick from the sheer motion of running on a full stomach, and eating post-run just undoes the calories you burned anyways.

Here ya go, hun. In short, it's just like bulimia/anorexia only you replace barfing/not eating with exercising. You can't operate unless you exercise and, in turn, cannot even eat without exercising immediately afterwards. I say we've all been there before, because I definitely feel that way sometimes, but I doubt you're actually a sufferer. Don't worry.
