Last night Jenny got us free passes to see Night Watch. It's in Russian with subtitles (best subtitles ever!) and reminded me a lot of The Matrix and Underworld while being better than both. I had no idea you were in to WhiteWolf :) - me too!

Oh and props to the Buffyverse reference. :)

I think I want to get the books if they are out in english: Nightwatch, Daywatch, Duskwatch. I've just not bothered to look them up yet. (Got the names from the movies website)

The copy I got was, I believe, fan subbed. Only about one in five lines seemed to have been translated and whole converstaions went by without seeing any subtitles. This made an already confusing film, a bit much to take in.

You definitely need to go out and see the American theater release, then. It's an excellent film with great subbing. For example, a boy swimming in a pool gets a nosebleed coinciding with voices in his head. The subtitles for the voice are in blood red, and dissolve off the screen just as a nosebleed in a pool would.
