Polonium Poisoning

Reading the fuss about Litvinenko's death, and the subsequent hunt for Polonium-210, made me a little suspicious. Am I the only person out there who thinks this should be a pretty easy crime to solve? if you were going to kill a public person, why would you do it in such a way that can be easily traced? that's the part that i keep wondering about.

also, i keep picturing a trail of breadcrumbs leading to a door with a sign that says "KILL3R" (E backwards) written in crayon.
