Heee-eeeey! Someone's into Subaru.. I had no idea. ^^ My first car was an '82 Subaru DL. And it still hangs out in my folks' driveway, though it hasn't run in .. six years. Poor, sad Subaru.

Yepyep, started with a 06 Impreza. Then got a 87 Brat, now have a 09 WRX, traded in the 06. Sadly the brat has a wonderfully rebuilt engine, and now carb...but seriously needs a 5spd swap done.

I bet, if you swap the gas and the battery out, you could probably start the DL..the subie engines are almost bullet proof i seems.

I wish, but alas no. =) It has something electrical buggered up. Might be the ignition control module, might be something else. Who knows.

Ahh, the brat had sat around for roughly 2-3 years before I started it up, luckily the issue was a bad distributor. AH well the Electrical gremlins are the hardest to find!

Oh poor Shay! I know how you feel, love. :( So sorry to hear that. Actually what I found helped Domino a lot was a covered hot water bottle under her sore hip or on top of it, depending how she was lying. You can also give them a human OTC pain killer too but I would have to look up again if it is acetaminophen or aspirin.

Looked them up, here are links.

I do hope he will be better soon. *hugs*

You can give em asprin once in a while, but it can really be bad for their stomachs. He was already on the asprin regimen and it just wasnt working anymore.

As for the hot water, Shay would never lay still enough for anything warm, he prefers laying on cold tile/hardwood and would move quickly.

Thanks, he is doing alot better on the vet pils, the xrays are just more a precaution for future issues then anything else.

Try giving Shay 500mg of vitamin C once a day. It helped my dogs alot. If he can tolerate that, you can try upping it to twice a day. Vit C is well tolerated, the body just pees out the excess it doesn't use and if it's too much, the worst thing you get is diarrhea. There's also Cosequin, an over the counter anti arthritic you can order from Foster & Smith, http://www.drsfostersmith.com/?ref=4397&subref=AA&mkwid=SjAhb3O4l|pcrid|4214695761&cmpid=PPC-_-G-_-4397 . I hope he feels better soon.
